Accounting Associate Musictoday/UltraStar is seeking an individual with 1-2 years of accounts payable/receivable experience. Experience with Oracle strongly desired. Application Developers (PHP/Java) Seeking PHP & Java Developers to work on artist fan clubs and public websites. These developers will be responsible for maintenance, development, and deployment of multiple projects and sites. The Java developer will focus on the backend systems that power our clients’ websites, including the CMS, commerce, membership, and ticket code systems. The PHP developer will be focus on building websites using the backend services and systems provided. Applicants must have a strong background in Java or PHP (preferably both), and should have 3 or more years of professional application development experience. Additionally, experience with CSS, Javascript, web services, XML & XSL is a plus. Call Center Customer Service Representatives (Seasonal) Musictoday has seasonal position openings in its Crozet Call Center (12 miles from Charlottesville). Responsibilities include resolving customer inquires, answering inbound telephone calls and resolving customer emails. In addition, the CSR will support other Call Center operational activities. EOE Database Administrator The DBA will provide assessment, analysis, design, development, optimization, tuning, unit testing, and production support for a SQL/Server environment connected to .Net, IIS, as well as connectivity support for Java, PHP, and Apache. MySQL experience is helpful. Must be able to apply patches and updates to environment, to build and support redundant, clustered SQL/Server DB’s, and be available on-call to support multiple environments. Network and SysAdmin skills including security are helpful. This position requires excellent verbal and written skills in addition to the ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. 3-5 years experience preferred. Linux System Administrator Seeking a system administrator for our fan club division. Responsibilities will include performing server builds, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, backups and performance tuning. Additional duties include implementation of new hardware/services; management of 60+ Linux servers; and operation of system upgrades. The applicant should have strong Linux administration skills, preferably with Red Hat, Enterprise Linux or RedHat-derived distributions in a production environment, and should have at least 3 years of experience in a role serving primarily as a Linux system administrator. Experience with enterprise-class Intel-based servers and standard open-source Internet server software (BIND, postfix, sendmail, ssh, ftpd, etc.) is required. An understanding of datacenter infrastructure (HVAC, power protection, physical security, fire suppression) and familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Cisco IP phones is a plus. In addition, the ideal candidate will be self-directed, exhibit a great attention to detail, have strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), and be able to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines. Senior Application Developer Fan Club division is seeking a senior developer and team lead for its development group. This developer will be responsible for leading the development team, as well as the maintenance, development and deployment of multiple projects and sites. Applicants must be strong in Java and PHP, and should have 5 or more years of professional application development experience with at least 1 year in a lead position. Knowledge of Flash development, portals and CMS systems is a plus.
